MEET THE TEAM

Coach & Founder
Ethan Becker-Menditto
I first became hooked on functional fitness when I was introduced to CrossFit while I was in college in 2010. I enjoyed the challenge that CrossFit workouts provided, as well as the improved body composition that I had achieved doing CrossFit and eating a balanced diet.
A few years later, I decided to transition into the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. I became extremely fascinated with the technicality of the movements, as well as how much of a display of mobility and power the snatch and clean & jerk showcase. I was also impressed with how strong some of the elite athletes in the sport were and wanted to replicate that in my own training.
After I founded my in-home personal training company, Built By Becker LLC, I decided to start my own weightlifting club as well through USAW: Built By Becker Weightlifting Club. Since its inception in 2022, BBB Weightlifting has coached and medaled multiple athletes in local, national, and international competitions.
As the founder of Built By Becker WL, I strive to provide all of our athletes with top quality coaching, both in training and in competition. My goal is to build confidence in every lifter I work with so that they can build confidence and find success in themselves both on and off the platform.

Coach
Karen O'Donnell
Originally from Connecticut, I spent much of my youth being active in nontraditional ways. I enjoyed snowboarding at an early age. During high school I was a flutist in a championship marching band, and in college I was on the dance team while also taking mountain biking and scuba diving classes. After college I continued to find fitness by training for a triathlon and eventually CrossFit. Though it was unlike anything I had ever done, especially the barbell movements, I instantly was hooked because of my trainers, the supportive community around me, and the results I saw.
CrossFit led me to the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. I have since competed in the Master's Division in Nationally and Internationally Ranked Events. Even as a mother of two and full-time accountant, I always find time to keep true to my training. I understand the struggle to find time to improve one's physical capability. As a coach, I work to build a trusting relationship with athletes and foster the community that has done so much for me!

Coach
Adam Das
Adam is the Head Coach and Programmer at CrossFit 234. Adam has been CrossFitting since 2012 and specializes in movement proficiency. After letting himself go and then seeing a friend lose more than 100 pounds while doing CrossFit, he knew he had to try it. Adam became instantly hooked and became a student of movement. The transition from student to coach was an easy one for Adam as he is happy to share his passions with others. He firmly believes in the safety of athletes, and that we all just want a little fitness in our lives. Adam keeps the gym experience fun and lighthearted, often by cracking jokes at his own expense. His favorite WOD is Amanda because it is challenging for him. His favorite movement is the snatch, again, because it is very challenging. He seems to gravitate towards things that scare him or that he is not great at doing and he is always up for a challenge. Adam’s goal for the near future is to complete his first Olympic distance triathlon.
